If you look online, there are many different products and formulas that people say they used to grow their eyelashes. The different methods range from simple DIY formulas that use household items to surgical procedures that cost thousands of dollars.

I have short stick straight asian eyelashes and in my desperation, I’ve tried most of these methods (except surgery). I can LiLash has worked for me. After these “diy” methods failed, I then tried eyelash growth serums. The first one I used was Ardell Brow and Lash Growth Accelerator (Pack-3). I can say that this did absolutely nothing for my lashes. It’s thick and goopy, smelled like burned plastic, and flaked off in white specks during the day. Ardell also made my eyes sting whenever I was applying it. This product was the cheapest of all the lash growth products, but this is one case where price dictates quality. I definitely would not recommend Ardell Lash Growth Accelerator to anybody.

After Ardell, I tried Talika Lipocils Eyelash Conditioning Gel as this was one product that many women were raving about on message boards. I think the magical growth stimulator in Lipocils is supposed to be horsetail extract.

I liked the idea that it was made from natural extracts as somewhere in my mind, I always associate natural with safe and gentle. I was soooo wrong it isn’t even funny. This stuff stung so bad I dreaded putting it on every time. While I think I saw some eyelash growth after a month and a half, it wasn’t really all that noticeable. At that time, my tube of Lipocils also started getting a funky fermented smell. I was definitely too scared to keep putting it on my eyes by then and stopped using it. Wasted $40 there…
