Latisse lash growth stimulator contains a prostaglandin that was originally used to treat glaucoma patients. Later, it was discovered that one of the side effects of this drug was longer eyelashes in the patients that used the drug. Unfortunately, in addition to longer eyelashes, another side effect was that the pupils of people who used this eye drop noticed their eye color started changing and becoming darker. Other common side effects of Latisse are red eye, stinging, irritation, dry eyes, and sensitivity to light.

So is it worth it to pay so much for Latisse? One box of Latisse only lasts two months and it is one of the slower eyelash growth products on the market. The company states that it takes at least 12 weeks to begin noticing eyelash growth. Plus, since it is a prescription drug, you’ll have to get a doctor’s prescription which means time out of your busy day to go to the doctor, a co-pay, and paying for the prescription at the pharmacy. Most likely you’ll have to pay full price since Latisse is not covered by most insurance companies. For a two month supply of Latisse, you will end up paying close to $200 and that’s even before you start seeing results.

So how much does Latisse eyelash growth cost? Too much! Instead you should get a non prescription eyelash conditioner.

I’d rather buy another eyelash growth product such as LiLash for a little over $100 that lasts for 6 months and you’ll begin noticing longer looking eye lashes in just 2 weeks rather than 12. Hmmm… a no brainer here really, unless you have mountains of cash to burn that is.
