#3 Talika Lipocils Conditioning Gel
- Natural plant based ingredients
- Affordable
Cons:
Talika Lipocils is an eyelash growth gel that’s made from natural plant extracts. Â It has been clinically proven to stimulate eyelash growth and condition existing lashes.
The serum is to be used twice daily and it really works, with one caveat. Â My eyelashes did grow longer and look thicker, but it took more than a month for any noticeable results.
What I did not like about Talika Lipocils is the awkward applicator brush. Â For best results, you should apply the serum to your skin at the base of your eyelashes since this is where your lashes grow from. Â The mascara wand makes this extremely difficult to do. Â Another thing that I didn’t like is that the gel stings like the dickens if you get it in your eyes. Â On top of this, the gel gets a funky smell after several weeks.
We liked that Lipocils does what it claims, but we don’t like it enough to make it our #2 or #1 pick. Â It’s easily available and the least expensive for a tube. Â However the product runs out FAST, is not easy to apply, and not safe for sensitive eyes.
Lipocils can be found at Amazon. Â For a better eyelash growth serum, try LiLash.

What a surprise! I bought this product because my eyelashes were beginning to thin as I neared 40. I wasn’t expecting much, but Talika Lipocils actually works, if you give it enough time. It is a clear gel, and when you put it on it kind of makes your lashes look like they do when you get out of the water — natural and dewy. I used this product alone, I simply stopped using mascara for a month. I think that’s an important part of letting your lashes re-grow, so if you can skip the mascara, do. After one month’s time, my lashes looked and felt longer and thicker. I will definitely buy again. Oh, I should also mention that I wear contacts, and this product did not bother my eyes at all.
The directions on Talika are to apply twice a day for 4 weeks then once a day everyday after that. At the end of the first four weeks, I noticed a little bit of a difference but it had been so gradual coming on that I couldn’t really tell how much. I switched down to using it once a day, expecting that I’d just finish out the tube I bought and maybe not buy it again. But about 6 weeks in, I noticed that it was starting to look really different. I kept thinking I had mascara on when I didn’t and when I actually put mascara on- WOW! I like Talika and I’m going to keep buying it but I thought I’d offer this advice:
1. Talika will never make your eyelashes look as thick as they do when you wear fake ones. It really just makes them about twice as good at the are right now- like you with mascara. If you are going for something more dramatic, you might make to consider getting fakes.
2. There are a few products that work like Talika- strengthening your lashes and keeping them from falling out so they’re the best they can be. Some, like Ardell are a lot cheaper and do work, some like Revitalash are way more expensive but may work slighly better. I think Talika is a good balance and price and effect but other people might be looking for more effect or be unwilling to spend this much.
3. You have to use this basically forever. A tube lasts months and it takes a second a day to do it, but it’s not a treatment that you do once or once a year. Missing a day or a week is no big deal but if you stop using it after about a month they go back to normal. If you’re not prepared to incorporate it into your permanent beauty routine then you’re only going to have a few months of good lashes. I’d encourage trying it out though, you might find you really like your new lashes and it’s worth the trouble. No more difficult than applying mascara everyday and this way you look great when you get up in the morning before you do anything!
Hope this helps.
